So what is Fleet Driver Training?
Driving is one of the most dangerous activities that we do on a day-to-day basis and we probably don't ever stop to consider the implications of having an crash. Every day there are crashes on our roads and even though we are a well developed nation we still kill about 1700 people every year. This means that there are 5 people today who won't be going home to their family tonight. A sobering thought?
Fleet driver training involves visiting companies and spending time with their drivers and ensuring that they understand the risks involved each time they take a vehicle out on the road. It could be advice about protecting the rear of the vehicle in the event of rear end shunt or might just involve manoeuvring practice.
I hold a RoSPA Diploma in Advanced Driving Instruction and am registered with the DVSA's list of fleet driver trainers. I also have a City & Guilds Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (Level 4) teaching certificate and the QCF Level 3 certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement. This allows me to train full licence holders in their own company vehicles. Apart from reducing crashes the other benefits to this are lower insurance costs, lower fuel costs and ultimately leading to reduced costs to the company.
I can offer bespoke courses including
* Driver awareness training
* Advanced driving (both RoSPA and IAM)
* UK Familiarisation
* Post collision rehabilitation training
* Eco driving
* Night driving
* Driving instructor course
I am also a RoSPA Occupational Advanced Driving Test Examiner
